Cowboy Skills Obstacle Race June 14-15, 2008 RAIN OR SHINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This event will be held at Farmlane Campground on June 14th & 15th.  This will be a take off on the Extreme Cowboy Race. Horses will cross water over a wooden bridge, drag a log, jump 3 consecutive 16 inch jumps, back up through an L shape of land scaping timbers, run barrels, climb, run thru 50 feet of knee deep water, rider must rope a milk can, lol , open and close a gate from horse back, go thru a hanging curtain, etc.   This year we will have an open class for the best of the best. $50 entry fee, 80% payback. Will pay 1st, 2nd &3rd.   The next class is for everyone else, beginner novice and experienced. $25 entry fee, 60% payback. This class will pay winners in a 3-D format. In essence dividing this class into 3 more classes based on finish scores. For example: 75 are entered in this class, It would pay 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 26th, 27th, 28th, 51st, 52nd &53rd.   NOTE: Entry fee's do not include camping. Camping Reservations are a two night minimum for event.   Scoring: For each objective or obstacle successfully or partially navigated points or partial points are awarded by a judge. Your course run is timed and points subtracted from time. Lowest Time wins.   We are limiting the number of contestants to 200. The first 200 to send in there entry fee's will compete. Entry Fee's are non refundable. You do not have to camp to run in the race. You can trailer in for the day.   We will begin racing Saturday at 9:00 A.M with the OPEN CLASS and continue until ? We will finish up on Sunday.    The course will be open Thursday and Friday June 12th & 13th for practice runs. Practise runs are free to those that have entered the race. A $15 fee will be imposed to those not sure about entering or just wanting to play.   Any teenager 14 and over and considered a skilled rider can race. Parent or Guardian must be present and sign a liability waiver AND LETTER OF INDEMNIFICATIN. Anyone under 18 must where a helmet.  $2 an adult to enter for non - competitors, visitors and spectators. 16 and under free. Hill side shade seating, bring blankets, chairs for top of hill.
